2024 Meeting of the Society of Economics of the Household
The 2024 annual meeting of the Society of Economics of the Household (SEHO) will take place at the Raffles City Convention Centre in Singapore on May 28-29, 2024. The 2024 SEHO is organized by Singapore Management University (SMU).
The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers in household economics. Household economics analyses all decisions made by households at both the micro-economic and macroeconomic level (Grossbard, 2015). It includes health, nutrition, eldercare, and risky behaviors; fertility, childcare, and household production of human capital; domestic violence and well-being of persons living in households; gender; consumption, savings and wealth accumulation; labor supply and other time uses; household formation (including marriage, cohabitation) and dissolution for heterosexuals and same-sex partners; household finances; migration; and intergenerational transfers.

Special Issue of REHO
The call for papers for the conference is now closed.
The Review of Economics of the Household (2022 IF: 5.1) calls for papers for a special issue on intergenerational transfers and time use, which include both upward and downward monetary and in-kind transfers as well as time help involving at least two generations.
The deadline for submission to the special issue is 30 June, 2024. Download the call for papers for the special issue here.

Registration for the conference is now closed.
The registration fee for the conference includes admission to all sessions, daily lunches, refreshments, a conference dinner, and conference materials.
The early bird registration deadline is 25 March, 2024 (also the deadline to be on the program for authors of accepted papers). Normal registration closes on 1 May, 2024.

The conference venue is the Raffles City Convention Centre, Level 4, 80 Bras Basah Road, Singapore 189560, in the heart of Singapore.

The conference registration, keynote speeches, contributed sessions, lunches, and conference dinner will take place in the Atrium Ballroom and Fairmont Executive Meeting Rooms.
Practicalities
International Travel
Singapore has four official languages (English, Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil) and ranks as one of the safest countries in the world.
Singapore Changi Airport is a well-connected international airport served by major airlines, and was named the World's Best Airport 2023. Please check entry requirements for Singapore here.
The conference venue is around 20-30 minutes by taxi from Changi Airport.
