Current Students

As of July 2024, the School of Economics has 935 students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Economics programme. The intake of students comprises A-level students, IB students, Polytechnics graduates, and international students. A number of students are recipients of scholarship awards such as Global Impact Scholarship, Lee Kong Chian Scholars’ Programme and SMU Merit Scholarship.

At the postgraduate level, the school also has a small and highly selective programme delivered by a team of internationally recognized professors who are actively engaged in research at the frontiers of economics knowledge. It also runs the Master of Science in Economics, Master of Science in Financial Economics and Master of Philosophy in Economics programmes for those who wish to acquire a good working knowledge of economics.
