Shrinking population, growing problems

Sharing their views on the consequences of population decline, Assoc Dean Hoon Hian Teck said that a shrinking population most directly slows down economic growth by shrinking the size of the labour force and Asst Prof Davin Chor said the economic effects will put a strain on those who are in their working age years, both in terms of their finances and time.
