In his weekly commentary, SMU Adjunct Faculty Dr Larry Haverkamp discussed the state of the world’s economy and the negative interest concept. He noted that the US economy is leading the way, but “no one is certain if it is leading us up or down”. Dr Haverkamp pointed out that only 38,000 jobs were created versus a forecast of 162,000, which is one of the biggest misses in history.
