The second SMU-Fudan Global Forum, themed ‘Global Governance, Global Cities, Global Innovation’, was held at Fudan University in Shanghai on 10 April 2015. The event was jointly organised by SMU and Fudan University. Professor Rajendra Srivastava, SMU Provost and Deputy President (Academic Affairs) delivered a welcome address at the forum’s opening, as well as a keynote address, and participated in a parallel session and the roundtable discussion. Professor James Tang, SMU Special Advisor to President (China Initiatives) and Dean of SMU School of Social Sciences, chaired the roundtable discussion and a parallel discussion. Associate Professor Tan Kim Song, SMU Professor of Economics (Practice) and Programme Director, Master in Science of Applied Economics, chaired a luncheon roundtable discussion, which was also attended by Associate Professor Henry Gao, SMU School of Law, and Member of Advisory Board, World Trade Organisation (WTO) Chairs Programme, WTO Secretariat. Two SMU professors were participants at a parallel session – Professor Phang Sock Yong, Celia Moh Professor, and Professor of Economics; and Assistant Professor Jerry Cao, Director of the Asia Private Equity Institute and Assistant Professor of Finance.
