Preliminary ideas On "Reliability In The Labor Market"
ABSTRACT
Workers work in teams. If one team member is unreliable, the team suffers. Workers differ by reliability and cognitive skills. The talk investigates how the labor market sort workers into different teams and roles within teams. We explore implications for earnings within and across teams, and team size. The talk also discusses how micro-managers and production lines are substitutes in enhancing
