[SMU undergraduates] Loh Zhi Zhi and Yip Yang are members of Singapore's men's water polo team which won its 25th successive SEA Games gold after a 21-13 win over host Myanmar. Singapore's victories were secured by the astute defence led by Loh Zhi Zhi, who also took on offensive duties – he scored two goals in their earlier 8-5 win over Indonesia. Coach Lee Sai Meng added that a few of the younger players, including Yip Yang, also stood up to be counted and impressed in their debuts. Yip scored four goals in the team's 18-7 win in their opener against Malaysia.
