SMU School of Economics Associate Dean and Professor of Economics Hoon Hian Teck applauded the move by the Ministry of Manpower to set up a 13-member advisory panel to study possible improvements to the Central Provident Fund (CPF). Citing demands such as higher returns, he said: "I thought they are quite bold to address the key issues that have cropped up in the last several months."
