In a look at how local companies can be incentivised to improve productivity, Assistant Professor of Economics Davin Chor noted that, for non-manufacturing firms, productivity improvements "will most likely come from streamlining the way they do business", for example, easing bureaucracy when starting a business or getting multiple permits from several government agencies.
