How SMEs can survive amid economic uncertainties

SMU Assistant Professor of Economics Davin Chor provided his views in this contributed column. He said, “In sum, the road ahead is likely to be bumpy not just for SMEs. By being small though, SMEs may have an advantage if they can capitalise on their ability to move quickly in shifting resources around in response to growth opportunities in regional markets and in the US. A series of astute moves could go a long way towards helping to position the company well [so as] to take advantage of the recovery boat as and when it comes to port.”
