In his weekly commentary, SMU adjunct faculty member Larry Haverkamp shared about the Ig Nobel prizes given out by the humour magazine, “The Annuals of Improbable Research”, at a gala ceremony in Harvard’s Sanders Theatre. Although called “improbable research”, the 10 prizes given yearly are for genuine research, and the distinguished scientists show up yearly to give a 5-minute talk explaining their research.
